We were there for breakfast. Several in our group had the standard breakfast fare which was excellent. Some of us tried the renowned shrimp and grits. Some of the best shrimp and grits I have ever eaten. A bit spicy, but perfect for my taste. I would definitely order that meal again.

Mojo’s is one of those places that you might not look twice at if you’re going down the road at a decent clip. It’s in between a Subway franchise and a bicycle shop right on the main drag in Damascus and within spitting distance of the Creeper Trail. But if you get a chance, stop. Trust me on this. Stop and get breakfast, lunch, or a snack, the food is outstanding and you will not be disappointed. The owner (John) will probably be behind the counter, if he’s not too busy introduce yourself and chat for awhile, he’s a great guy and you’ll enjoy getting to know him. The staff is top notch and always willing to assist with anything. And the food? Oh. Yeah. Again, trust me on this one of letters.

The recent addition of a chef, an expanded breakfast menu, and now lunch offerings makes this one of the best restaurants in Damascus. The coffee and pastries have always been top-notch. My bagel with eggs, cheese, and (yummy, plentiful) bacon was just right. Comfortable seating and nice atmosphere.

We went for Sunday breakfast and were lucky enough to find seats. The restaurant was busy and rightfully so because the food was very good as was the service. My ladies’ group makes an annual pilgrimage to Damascus to ride the trail, and we were very pleased to see the improvements over last year’s offerings at Mojos. Keep up the good work! We will be back!
